We’ve sorted out an incredible Ibiza package for four nights on the island starting on Monday August 30 to Friday September 3.
Between those dates we’ve arranged the ideal clubbers package including: four nights accommodation at Ibiza Rocks Hotel, parties and guestlists sorted for every night, 25% discount on drinks at the hotel and a bunch of money can’t buy VIP upgrades in the clubs.
The Mixmag/ Don’t Stay In Ibiza session will run like this:
• Monday: Arrive at Ibiza Rocks Hotel, exclusive Don’t Stay In Party that night in Electric Lounge (not open to public) with secret guest DJs
• Tuesday: Free admission to Ibiza Rocks gig + after party

• Friday: Farewell pool party with special guests
• Throughout your stay you can use a 25% discount on drinks at Ibiza Rocks Hotel meaning your pre-club round just got a lot cheaper.
This adds up to an incredible Ibiza escape all for the insanely cheap price of £189!
Spaces are limited, however, if you want to reserve a space there's no need to pay for the whole holiday now – you can reserve your space with a £50 deposit and pay the rest later.
To book go to this booking page where you can place a deposit to hold your place or book the full package now.
Alternatively call 0208 780 5551 (Mon-Fri 9.30-530). If you have any questions about this amazing holiday package just call this number.
The £189 price is based on three sharing a self catering studio. If you require just two sharing a studio add an extra £35 per person. Extra nights, pool and stage view studios are available on request. Each booking is subject to a £4 booking fee.
We’ve purposely not included flights in the package allowing you to shop round for the best deal for you.
Mixmag and Don’t Stay In Ibiza Session is only accessible by booking the package above. Places are limited. No ‘wristband only’ sales are possible. 25% drinks discount does not work during the Ibiza Rocks gig on the Tuesday night.

Eddy Grant claims he's been ripped off by Gorillaz
'Electric Avenue' singer, Eddy Grant claims he has been plagiarised by Gorillaz. Incidentally, the made up band are also on his label, EMI.
Eddy says “I am outraged that the Gorillaz have infringed the copyright of my song 'Time Warp' claiming their song 'Stylo' to be an original composition. My song sits almost note to note with their release and is a blatant rip off. 'Time Warp' is a very popular song and has been a staple of the DJ scene for many years and I feel total disrespect from Gorillaz and their management company, especially as they are an established act."
He goes on "I am very angry that this was not picked up by our mutual publisher EMI ‘s administration division. I do not blame my publishers but, the state of the industry at the current time with all labels and publishers folding into one and becoming incestuous. It’s such an obvious copy that from day one the band and their management should have taken control of this situation with EMI Publishing. I would like the outcome to be that the band admits that they have lifted my song, that I have a full credit for the song and an apology from the band.”
Good luck with that apology from 'the band' Eddy. *whispers* They're not real!
New tour blog and top tracks from Tiësto
For the UK leg of his world tour DJ Tiesto is blogging for Mixmag. Here's his latest entry.
"My second weekend in the UK was fantastic, Three packed 3 shows: Thursday in London, Friday in Cardiff and last night in Liverpool.
In London I played at a historic venue called Brixton Academy. It's one of those really cool old theatres with the large stair cases on the sides of the stage and the angled floor up to the back wall. I love the history of the place. It used to be a movie theater back in the 30's, then bands started playing there years. All my favorite bands have played here at one time or another, so it was exciting to do a show here. The venue is smaller than than I usually play in London, but that made for a way more intimate evening. The show was great. It had it's own pace and kept on building throughout the night. By the end of it, the energy was powerful. London is always a really busy city for me, a lot of friends and business to take care of in that city! My crew came out and helped me start the night off in the dressing room with champagne and they have a pool table in the dressing room. I'm pretty good with the stick!
Second city I played this weekend was Cardiff. Dada life opened for me tonight again, its great having those guys around on my UK Shows. They did 3 weeks with me in the US and its always a lot of fun. The stage was quite a maze to get to here, with make shift stairs coming from the dressing room to the stage. During my set, a large piece of my staging came loose and bumped the screens. Crazy!
Luckily the awesome crew in Cardiff got it fixed up quickly and the show went on with out a hitch.
My final show was in the city by the sea, Liverpool! I played at Echo Arena. It's right on the water and has a beautiful view of the area, with a large ferris wheel is built in the parking lot next to the venue and at night it lit the whole area up. I saw similar ones in Melbourne and London. I guess everyone loves Ferris Wheels! Tonight was pretty crazy. The crowd was amazing, but I struggled a bit with some technical difficulties. My CD players kept on breaking and it drove me nuts! I saw a Dutch flag with my face on it that said 'The King!'! Pretty great. I’ve seen that guy at several shows over the years, such a die-hard fan!
So much fun this weekend...now I finally get to go to Dublin! All I’ve heard for the last 2 weeks is how insane that show will be. It sold out a long time ago and it’s the biggest show we’re doing in the UK. Its also 2 days after St. Pattys Day, hopefully everyone’s still partying when I get there!"

Sosho in Shoreditch gutted in fire
One of Shoreditch's most infamous bars, Sosho, has been destroyed in a fire that started 24 hours ago.
Tabernacle Street in East London is still closed off and firefighters are still damping down hot patches this morning.
The bar/club, that claims to once be voted Time Out's best bar, has been completely destroyed in the blaze. It was best know for its infamous Sunday night afterparty, Retox.
Owner Jonathan Downey said "The fire's caused millions of pounds of damage, both to the building and to business. The bar's just been kitted out with some great antique furniture which is all irreplaceable and about £50,000 worth of artwork has been destroyed."
"Both places are open seven days a week and have 24 hour licences. They've both been really busy, even in the current economic climate, so this is going to cost us massively," he said.
Optimo in Glasgow to hold last event in April
One of Glasgow's longest running and best respected club nights is to hold its last event next month.
Optimo at The Sub Club has put on around 650 nights.
They told us yesterday "We have loved doing Optimo with all our hearts, but our hearts are also telling us it is time to call a halt to it. Playing at, organising and promoting a weekly night takes up an enormous amount of energy and there are so many other things we want to do that some of that energy is needed for our other projects."
Sunday April 25 will be the last ever Optimo.
Bunk the queue at Ministry with a condom on Saturday
If you're going to Ministry of Sound this weekend for Laidback Luke we advise you to take a condom with you.
We're not implying Luke's got a STI, heavens no, but if you flash a condom at the door you don't have to queue to get in.
It's all part of a sexual health campaign that's taken place at 100 clubs over the last two years.
The Queue Jump with a Condom promotion comes as a new campaign – Contraception. Worth Talking About – is launched to increase young people’s awareness of the different types of contraception and remind them that they won’t be protected against STIs without a condom.

This is Pioneer's DJM-2000 mixer which launches today.
It has an innovative touch screen and arsenal of remixing FX, with six individual effects processors. It has effectively built in the technology of the EFX-1000, removing the need for an external effects unit along with touch screen technology from the SVM-1000.
The mixer has been developed with the help of a number of DJs. James Zabiela, Roger Sanchez, Eddie Halliwell, Tom Middleton, The Swedish House Mafia, Paul Woolford, John '00' Fleming and Kutski have all tested out the DJM-2000 at various stages of development.
You can buy the mixer in June - its price: €1,999 (£1822). For more see pioneerprodj.eu
