Lab On Location: Kamma & Masalo

The Lab is Mixmag and Coors’ live event where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our world-famous office party and other intimate locations around the country highlighting the UK’s most exciting music culture and scenes. This time, Mixmag takes the Lab On Location to The Cause.

On Friday, December 1, we’re excited to showcase Kamma & Masalo from East London’s The Cause.

Working together since 2014, the pair have been running their party Brighter Days in Amsterdam celebrating all things dance music culture with an aim to embrace togetherness on the dancefloor with a host of local DJs performing.

On top of this, Kamma and Masalo were involved in co-creating the sound bar, Doka Studio on the east-side of Amsterdam. The space is equipped with high-end audio and is a bar made for subcultures and young talents to unite over music.

This year has seen the duo release their first Brighter Days compilation album for Rush Hour. The collection celebrates the spirit of tier party with a blend of vibrant house, disco and their own dubs. ‘Neon Ocean’ released on Sounds Familiar in April this year also marks Kamma and Masalo’s first collaborative release.
