Machinedrum has announced 'Movin' Forward', a collection of collaborations with the late DJ Rashad. It will be available from April 24, to mark a year since the Chicago producer's passing.

The first track is 'Understand', a collab between Machinedrum, Rashad and Nick Hook. You can listen to it below.

Machinedrum, real name Travis Stewart, was lucky enough to work on music with the footwork and juke pioneer a few times before he died. On announcing 'Movin' Forward', Stewart wrote: "The tracks were never completely finished and seemed impossible to finish after he passed."

"Eventually I mustered up enough courage to open the sessions and finish them. It is what Rashad would have wanted me to do."

'Movin' Forward' will also feature two unreleased Machinedrum tracks inspired by Rashad and his Teklife crew. If 'Understand' is anything to go by, it will be well worth a spin.

100 per cent of proceeds will go to DJ Rashad's family and estate.
