James Blake has been hinting that a new album is on the way soon for a while now, airing three new cuts titled ‘Modern Soul’, ‘RPG’ and ‘Timeless’ on his BBC Radio 1 residency since February.

Now he’s called upon surnamesake Sir Quentin Blake, the renowned illustrator best known for designing the covers of Roald Dahl books, to paint two murals promoting the record in London and New York.

The first is on Great Eastern Street in the English capital and is spread across four large panels, depicting two shadowy figures standing on a watercoloured countryside vista with the words ‘The Colour Is Anything’ painted on. James posted a photo of Sir Quentin working on the project on his Instagram.

Now a second has appeared in New York’s Williamsburg borough at North 15th Street and Banker simply reading ‘James Blake The Colour in Anything’ over blotches of colour.

It seems that will be the title of the LP, not ‘Radio Silence’ as previously stated by the 1-800 Dinosaur honcho on BBC Radio 1 in December 2014. Last month he announced it’s finished and comprises 18 tracks; release details are expected soon.

Check out the murals below.
