11 NACHTDUIK

Ahoy, Rotterdam

More widely known as home to the North Sea Jazz festival and numerous Carl Cox events, Nachtduik dock at the massive Ahoy venue for the first time to transform it into one of New Year's Eve's biggest parties. Multiple arenas will host an incredible collection of artists including Detroit legend Jeff Mills, Âme, Marcel Dettmann, Nina Kraviz and KiNK.

12 LOST PARADISE FESTIVAL

Glenworth Valley, Australia

Deep in the green groves of Glenworth Valley, this festival takes three days to build to up to its climatic conclusion. But with art instillations, long table feasts, burlesque nights, a spa, yoga sessions, and on mass skinny-dipping it is easy understand why some might never want it to arrive. This glamping experience will see the likes of Jon Hopkins, Four Tet, Jamie XX, Ben UFO, Âme and more get in among the teepees and bell tents for the New Year's celebrations.

13 FLYING CIRCUS NYE

Canibal Royal Beach Club, Mexico

One of the longest-running New Year's Eve events in Mexico, Flying Circus is set in the stunning, palm tree-lined Canibal Beach club, overlooking the clear turquoise waters of the Caribbean. It's perhaps unsurprising, then, that they've managed to tempt some big names to the seaside paradise this year, including Audiofly, Carl Craig, M.A.N.D.Y. and Lake People.
