Mixmag and BUDX are proud to partner to bring you the newest destination of the Lab this summer: The Lab Johannesburg.

On Wednesday, August 14 Jullian Gomes and 2lani The Warrior are heading up the The Lab Johannesburg.

Born and raised by South Africa's deep love of soul, Latin and Kwaito music, Jullian Gomes was destined to find his way to music. It began at the age of eight, and his affinity for house music has only continued to grow since then and throughout his already prolific career. He launched the G Family Collective with Michael G, and has seen releases out on various South African labels like Soulcandi and House Afrika, as well as international labels Realtone, Foliage, Atjazz Record Company and more. After participating in the Red Bull Music Academy, Gomes has continued to ascend, remixing the likes of Black Coffee, The Layabouts and for Defected Records. He is the co-founder of Stay True Records and head of his own label World Without End, and undoubtedly is one of South Africa's rising stars to catch.

Since 1997, 2lani The Warrior has been working dancefloors all across South Africa, fine-tuning his trademark "sweet" house sound and demonstrating his technical prowess. He has supported the likes of Kaskade, Harrison Crump and Troublemen and played at venues like Sutra in Cape Town, Tilt in Durban, Switzerland's Le Club and beyond. Along with his work as a DJ, he also works behind-the-scenes as an A&R for Bass Breaks & Beats Records, showcasing the best of the region's deep house talents.

Jullian Gomes set will be streaming on Mixmag’s Facebook page Thursday, August 15.

2lani The Warrior’s performance will stream on Mixmag’s Facebook page Monday, August 19.
