Mixmag and BUDX are proud to partner on a groundbreaking new Lab destination touching down this summer: Lab Johannesburg.

On Wednesday, May 22, The Lab Johannesburg will showcase a pair of the industry's leading house talents. Mixmag favorite Jonas Rathsman will take to the decks of the newest edition of The Lab, as well as South African talent Ryan Murgatroyd

Jonas Rathsman is the esteemed DJ, producer and label owner hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden. He runs the ELEMENTS mix series and record label that offers a genre-blurring sonic exploration of new and exclusive music, touching on house music’s fundamental sounds. He's also released on many respected and reliable labels including Crosstown Rebels, Diynamic and Mobilee, plus he's supplied massive remixes for the likes of Jean Michelle-Jarre, Bob Moses, Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons and South Africa native Ryan Murgatroyd’s ‘iKalimba’.

Ryan Murgatroyd is a regular on the always buzzing Get Physical Music imprint. He assisted and featured on the first ever ‘Africa Gets Physical’-now an annual compilation series. He plays pivotal role as part of Bantwanas and is one half of Crazy White Boy, playing alongside South African DJ and producer, Kostakis. Ryan has garnered huge support from key tastemakers like Damian Lazarus, Lee Burridge, Solomun, and even fellow South African export, Black Coffee.

BUDX is a global platform that supports and spotlights outstanding creative minds in music and culture from around the world.
