Eats Everything revealed a few things about his approach to DJing.

Interviewed at Sonos Studio AMS during Amsterdam Dance Event, the Bristolian reckons that spontaneity is the key to a sick set.

"I never plan [a set] out. I have a bunch of records and I always go with what fits, deciding on the spot. Usually I have a folder comprising of 150 to 200 records that I can play throughout that set. That's all I do to prepare," Eats said.

"I believe in the mantra 'always go with the flow'. Never pre-plan anything – that's just asking for trouble!" he added.

Eats was speaking during the third and final day of Sonos Studio AMS, which landed in 'Dam during ADE to present a host of listening parties, performances, screenings and conversations covering dance music legends as well as pioneering new talent.

The South West selector also gave insight to one of his true loves: UK hardcore. "I know it's pounding and it's fast-paced, but strangely enough it has a relaxing effect on me," he said. "When I'm listening to hardcore, even though it's 160 BPM, it feels soothing. The same goes for funk and boogie. I'm a real disco enthusiast. That's all I listen to when I'm driving my car."

And there was also time for one of the warmest DJ anecdotes we've heard in a while: "I was DJ'ing at a party in Ibiza recently and was playing at sunset. [My son] was the only person dancing while I played. That was amazing to me. He's an absolute legend already! Brilliant."
