EastEast Radio is a newly launched online station exploring stories and music from West Asia and North Africa

Nabihah Iqbal, Hive Mind Records, MSYLMA and more confirmed for EastEast Radio's February programming

EastEast Radio has confirmed their February programming.

This will include contributions from Nabihah Iqbal, Hive Mind Records, MSLYMA, Radio Alhara cofounder Atlas and Gharamophone Records who collect Jewish music from North Africa.

There will also be a new podcast series called ‘Of Ghostland’, featuring conversations with people from countries and territories that no longer exist.

EastEast Radio launched in December 2020 as an arm of EastEast’s bilingual magazine and MaWaheb Festival. Centring on music from the diasporas of West Asia, North Africa and the Global East, EastEast Radio aims to bring these oft overlooked areas of music to a wider audience.

The original programming for EastEast Radio included shows from Morphine Records’ Rabih Beaini, Bulat Khalilov from Ored Recordings, Ian Nagoski from Canary Records, and Sublime Frequencies.
