Following on from their debut album two years ago, Nick Weiss and Logan Takahashi’s second coming finds the youngsters exploring a more symphonic sound. After the utopian opener ‘Orbit’, newcomer Kelela lays honeyed vocals over the retro synths of ‘EXF’, Panda Bear lending his cosmic tones to ‘Pyjama’ soon after. Elsewhere, HyperDub’s current muse Laurel Halo appears on the sultry ‘Mist Of Time’, while Daft Punk collaborator Romanthony croons over an infectious neo-pop number entitled ‘Do It’. Marking the instrumentals of note, a kaleidoscopic synchronisation of pan-pipes forms ‘Inca’ and ‘End’ adds an element of 80s futurism before ‘Timeline’ closes proceedings in a fluorescent jet of US garage.
