With Scandinavia currently going through another renaissance in leftfield electronica, Kompakt add another Danish act to their roster with the recruitment of Taragana Pyjarama. The youngster first came to notoriety after the release of his eponymous EP on Fools Gold in April last year; he’s since remixed for Delphic, Delorean and Miami Horror. The impish swirls of ‘Four Legs’ and ‘Growing Forehead’ open the album into a kaleidoscope of ethereal ambience, but the winds soon change. ‘Lo Ng’ and ‘Ballibat’ draw comparison with the sonic experimentations of Four Tet, while ‘Just Remember This’, ‘Terror Paradise’ and the haunting title track all bear resemblance to Geogaddi-era Boards Of Canada.
