Such were the rich, one-off nature of the sounds that fidgety tech-house duo Renaissance Man produced on their debut for Tiga’s Turbo that a remix album was always going to attract talent. So, Matthew Herbert twists ‘What Do You Do When You Do What You Do’ into spacey, pinging techno, while Renaissance Man’s fellow Finn Jori Hulkonnen slides it into a bath of sad acid techno. Rising Belgian star Locked Groove wrestles ‘Stalker Humanoid’ to the ground with clattering, bass-driven house, but best of all is the in-form Paul Woolford who goes epic with ‘What Do You Do’, chucking acid squiggles over off-key Italo house.
