Icons usually descend into introspective self-indulgence when asked to showcase their inspiration, but Andrew Weatherall keeps his addition to Ministry’s boxset series dancefloor-focused. Designed to take the listener from 11pm until 2am over the course of 36 tracks, bluesy disco, Italo house and pulsing slices of electro form the backbone of each of the three CDs. Nine of his own dubbed-out remixes feature alongside a feast of rarities you’re unlikely to have heard before, with the tracks often left in for their duration to ride an almost effortless momentum of subtle tempo shifts. One of the essential comps of the year so far.
