Let’s cut to the chase: ‘Nostalchic’ is the record you want to be listening to during the afterglow of good sex or a perfect ecstasy trip. That may sound odd, but it’s exactly what you want to wrap yourself in while strung out on pleasure, senses totally receptive to Lapalux’s electronic soul music. ‘Kelly Brook’, a bubbling brew of lascivious r’n’b and broken glitch hop, and ‘Flower’, a triumphant pitch-bent synth ride, are the kind of songs that make you feel on top of the world, especially during moments of intimacy.

But if you don’t have immediate access to a lover or a decent dealer, fear not. The pent-up lust audible throughout ‘Guuurl’ and the prolonged release of ‘The Dead Sea’ will certainly get you in the mood.
