His constant ranting may infuriate, but no-one can deny Deadmau5 is an incredible producer. Having always been a master at transcending genres, he makes sure his new album includes something for every musical taste. Tracks like ‘There Might Be Coffee’ and ‘The Veldt’ cover progressive trance, ‘Superliminal’ and ‘Take Care Of The Proper Paperwork’ are more dark and techy, while ‘Sleepless’ falls into the chillout category. But it’s Gerard Way’s rocky vocals on ‘Professional Griefers’, and Cypress Hill who bring some old school hip hop with ‘Failbait’, that make this an interesting listen. It’s just a shame he didn’t save some of that innovation for a more inspiring album title.
