This year's Ibiza season is well and truly under way. Superclubs such as Amnesia, Space, DC:10, Pacha and Ushuaia have all opened their doors providing the perfect platform for the world's most talented selectors to showcase their musical A-game. Throughout the season we will be keeping our ear to the ground to bring you fortnightly updates of the tracks that have gone down a storm on the White Isle.
Ten Walls 'Gotham'
The latest release from the prolific and superb Innervisions appears destined to be one of musical highlights on the island this season. Ten Walls' debut release combines a deep and dark bassline with dreamy melodies and a relentless synth to fill each and every corner of any dancefloor.
Omar S 'The Shit Baby'
This is one of the outstanding tracks from Omar S' latest album, 'Thank You For Letting Me Be Myself'. Kehakuma resident Javi Bora opened his set at Space with this jazzy piece and it set the tone for an entire evening of brilliance.
Santos Resiak 'A Better Light' (The Martinez Brothers remix)
This track is one of those tunes that will continuously get the best reaction. The likes of Matthias Tanzman and The Martinez Brothers have all dropped it to devastating effect thus far. Its pulsating synth along with the typical One Records-style boogie means it has the perfect ingredients to rock any Ibiza dance. It was in three different sets at DC:10 opening alone.
Somore 'I Refuse (What you Want) Pt.4'
After the vocal of this true house and garage classic slowly crept into Jamie Jones set at DC:10 last week, there was a slight pause before the jackin high-hat sent the terrace into pandemonium. Enough said.
tINI 'Room 305'
Last week the Desolat family trooped down to Ushuaia to help kick off Loco Dice's weekly event, Used + Abused. Desolat's first lady, tINI provided the perfect sunset soundtrack. This number exploded, marking a clear shift in musical gear.
