The new Robbie Williams single 'Candy' features part of Todd Terje's 2004 tune 'Eurodans'.
Those with a keen ear will hear the resemblance instantly and it's being reported that Todd 'The God' charged Robbie's people twice his usual rate for using the sample because they got in touch just two weeks before the release of 'Candy'. The amount Terje received hasn't been revealed, but it sounds like he's made a tidy profit. And he's been credited alongside Gary Barlow on the tune. Nice!
Todd's been beavering away this year. His tune 'Inspector Norse' is one of the anthems of 2012 and he's also been in the studio with none-other-than Bryan Ferry. His DJ sets are becoming the stuff of legend, with his recent appearance at Dimensions Festival in Croatia being one of the main, packed-out draws of the event.
