The XX are to team up with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra as part of a new series of concerts taking place in the UK this Autumn.
The trio will work with composer Alex Baranowski on composing an original work for the series and perform their composition at Bridlington Spa on September 19.
Other acts taking part in the series include Sheffield troubadour Richard Hawley and there will be a James Bond themed evening, hosted by film critic Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo.
This is the second year the event has run with the inaugural event featuring a 'dubstep symphony' from Nero.
The XX's concert will be broadcast live on Radio 1 and will also feature re-worked versions of songs from both their first and second albums.
The XX are set to release their second album, 'Coexist' on September 10 preceded by a show at Bestival between September 6-9. Find out more about The XX's BBC Philharmonic concert here.
