STEVE ANGELLO: "DJING WITHOUT HEADPHONES IS NOT HARD"

According to former Swedish House Mafia member Steve Angello, DJing without headphones is "not that hard".

Those at the EDMbiz conference in Las Vegas last year heard the Swede say: "The thing is, I lost my hearing in my left ear two years ago. I’m always in planes working with my headphones on really loud. So I taught myself how to DJ without headphones."

He was responding to a question about a YouTube clip which showed him playing without headphones at Dance Valley in Holland.

But Angello raised the matter again in a recent episode of the 'Size TV' series, which aired last week, saying: "The only thing you’ve gotta do as a DJ is to press that button at the same beat as the other track, which is not the hardest thing in the world.

"If you know that one track is 125 and the other is 128, you just put the pitch three BPMs up. Then you’re good to go. It’s not that hard if you know your records."
