Sonar has been a staple of the European Summer festival circuit since 1994, and it is considered by many to be one of the best.
In a bold effort to capture the unbelievable momentum that dance music has had lately in the States, the organizers of Sonar are bringing their successful brand on tour.
From October 31 to November 10, several artists will be touring the U.S and Canada for what is sure to be a highlight of the fall season.
The line-up is certainly on the deeper tip, with Seth Troxler, Paul Kalkbrenner and Tiga headlining. They will also be joined by rap-rave group Die Antwoord, French techno-upstart Gesaffelstein, and Nic Fanciulli.
Don’t expect the standard big room house show, as these artists are “eschewing bubble-gum EDM” in favor of uncompromising dance music.
As ambitious as it is exciting, Sonar On Tour will look to pack massive venues across the continent, like New York City’s Roseland Ballroom. The space has played host to some massive names in dance music, including Deadmau5 and Sebastian Ingrosso.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow and more information is available here.
