Barcelona's leading dance and experimental music festival is taking up an outpost in São Paulo from 2012.
Sonar, which is into its nineteenth year, will take place in Brazil in May of next year.
The São Paulo edition will be at Parque Anhembi on May 11-12 and will feature Björk, James Blake, Little Dragon and Justice. It promises to live up to the all encompassing audio/visual heights that Sonar scales in Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Sonar marks it's fifth year in Japan with SonarSound Tokyo, which will be at ageHa-Studio Coast on April 21-22 2012. The burgeoning annual event will host The Cinematic Orchestra, Mount Kimbie and Clark and further confirms Sonar's status as a leading worldwide dance event.
The Barcelona edition lands on June 14-16 2012 and pre sale tickets are available now.
