SKRILLEX NOMINATED FOR 'BEST NEW ARTIST' GRAMMY

Love him or hate him, Skrillex obviously has a mass of support. The American dubstep producer has been nominated for five Grammys, including 'Best New Artist'.

Skrillex is up against a mixed pack for the title: Bon Iver, Nicki Minaj, The Band Perry and J. Cole.

Elsewhere, Cut Copy, Deadmau5, David Guetta, Robyn and Skrillex are up for 'Best Dance/Electronica Album', and in the runnings for 'Best Dance Recording' is Deadmau5 & Greta Svabo Bech ('Raise Your Weapon'), Duck Sauce ('Barbra Streisand'), David Guetta & Avicii ('Sunshine'), Robyn ('Call Your Girlfriend'), Skrillex ('Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites') and Swedish House Mafia ('Save the World').

Winners announced February 12, 2012.
