Last month nine people were stabbed at a Swedish House Mafia gig at Phoenix Park in Dublin.
Now authorities are launching a security crackdown on three high profile events in the city, one of which features David Guetta (alongside Example, Benny Benassi, Rizzle Kicks, Wolfgang Gartner and Tommy Trash).
The French superstar plays the Marlay Park Festival this Friday, August 24, and Irish police and the event's promoters have committed to ensuring that a repeat incident does not occur.
The Irish press is reporting numerous security measures in place to make sure Guetta's gig goes off without a hitch. Partygoers will be screened and searched, plainclothes officers and sniffer dogs will be in use and individuals deemed to be 'intoxicated' will be turned away.
Tickets are still available for the Marlay Park shows.
