Porter Robinson's star is fast ascending as he sits pretty at number 9 in the UK singles chart with his summer smash, 'Language'.
But the US DJ has made it clear that he doesn't want to use his new found fame to move into producing big name pop stars.
Speaking to the Daily Star Robinson said "I’ve had offers from a bunch of triple-A pop acts like Katy Perry to work with them, but I’m not interested."
The 19-year-old DJ went on to say, "It’s a surefire way of damaging your credibility and I just don’t think it’s inspiring. I want to make stuff that I enjoy so I won’t produce anyone else, for now."
Robinson held up Deadmau5 as his inspiration saying, "I admire him because he’s yet to release a song that sounds like he’s trying to fit into something."
Robinson also commented on his current chart success saying it was unexpected as he makes an aggressive style of club music before going on to say that he's currently taking inspiration from film soundtracks for the follow up to 'Language'.
