In a recent interview, Pete Tong has backed Calvin Harris as being the most successful British DJ.
Tongy reckons that Harris is the first Brit to properly challenge the dominance of superstars like the Swedish House Mafia and David Guetta.
Talking to gossip site BANG Showbiz, he said: "For a long, long time if you thought about the most successful DJs in the world, then we haven't been in the game for a very long time in the UK... The world of dance music's been dominated by the Dutch DJs like Armin Van Buuren, and then David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia."
"Calvin's the first one of our own. I would find it quite astounding if people were turning on him, really. He's a kid from his bedroom that was born of listening to the music that was coming up, and he put his own twist on it," he added.
High praise for Harris indeed.
