After confirming that he worked on the upcoming Daft Punk album, Nile Rodgers has also revealed details of another high profile collaboration.
The Chic frontman confirmed via Twitter that he would be working with recent Essential Mix inductee Tensnake.
The tweet read: "A great day in the studio! Working on an amazing song with original Chic playing on it & started on 2 tracks from @Tensnake to collab on".
Tensnake was overjoyed by the collaboration, describing Nile as his "favourite producer".
He says: "It's something of a dream come true. I don't have any idols but he's definitely my favourite producer and we worked on two tracks together. The whole thing came together really quickly: he's so easy to work with.
"There's a lick he played on one track that reminds me of 'China Girl' - [from the Nile-produced 'Let's Dance' album], he said he was inspired by an old Rufus lick ['Sweet Thing'] and put that into a pop production. He said, 'for them it was new but for us it was like an old thing!'"
