In a new teaser video for the upcoming track 'Scare Me', actor Terry Crews brings the Major Lazer comic book character to life for the first time.
Formerly a professional American football player, Crews has had numerous roles in film and TV, but is best known for playing Latrell Spencer in 'White Chicks' and for his appearances on Old Spice ads.
His resemblance to Major Lazer is pretty uncanny. In the 30 second clip, he is sporting a 'Get Free' yellow armband, dark shades and a red beret. Obviously, he also has a major piece of lazer attached to his arm.
According to Switch and Diplo's back story of Major Lazer, the character is a Jamaican commando who lost his arm in a war with zombies. When the US military found him, they fitted him with a lazer as a prosthetic limb. Since then he has acted as a secret government soldier for the CIA and M5.
The single, 'Scare Me', features Peaches and Timberlee, and is off the 2012 Major Lazer album, 'Free the Universe'.
