KERRI CHANDLER REFUSES TO PLAY "COMMERCIAL SHIT" IN PARIS

House music titan Kerri Chandler made a very public declaration during a gig on Sunday February 3.

Playing DJ Deep's Legends reunion party at the Rex Club in Paris, Chandler took to the mic to make a speech about the type of music he'd be playing during his set.

He stated: "If you want commercial shit then get out, get the fuck out."

The speech was recorded by a member of the audience and uploaded to YouTube. It looks like Chandler was on the mic for at least five minutes and began by saying, "I ain't pulling no motherfucking punches no more".

As Rex club and DJ Deep are both known for their underground taste, it is unlikely Kerri Chandler was responding to a request from the crowd.

Chandler is renowned for being a Godfather of house music and also as a champion of new, underground music (via his MadTech label).

The party at Rex Club was to celebrate the venues 25th birthday as well as make a nod toward a party DJ Deep ran in 1995.
