New York City played host to a 'Who’s Who' of DJ talent this summer, with names like Loco Dice, Seth Troxler, Sasha, Maya Jane Coles, and Maceo Plex playing well-received sets in clubs and outdoor venues alike.
The city that never sleeps is showing no signs of stopping as we enter the fall season, with Basic NYC bringing a two day black and white festival to Governors Island Beach Club next month, October 6 - 7.
The outdoor space, with views of the city skyline, will attempt to bring the vibe of Jamie Jones’ Paradise residency from DC-10 in Ibiza. Although fall has officially begun in New York City, the waterfront location and abundance of light up palm trees should serve to recreate what the Hot Creations boss has envisioned: a deep disco infused ‘Paradise’, where temperature and time of year are trivial.
Day 1 (Black) of the Columbus Day weekend extravaganza will have Jamie Jones playing an exclusive 4-hour set, and he will be joined by label mate Carl Craig. The headliners for day two have yet to be announced.
