Experimental electronic musician Four Tet has this week responded to rumours, saying he is not Burial in a series of irritated tweets.
Online rumours have been flying around for more than a year about the true identity of Burial, the notoriously reclusive dubstep and garage artist otherwise known as William Bevan.
Hebden yesterday tweeted: "I have never said ever that I am Burial anywhere," and followed up with another stern tweet shortly after saying, "You should all show a bit more respect for Will Bevan who is Burial. One of the greatest musicians/producers of our time."
Burial remains quiet, not having tweeted since 2008, but Kode 9, owner of the Hyperdub record label under which Burial releases most of his music, said on Wednesday: "Burial is Tiesto - now f*ck off".
Well, guess that's settled, then.
