With the stateside boom of 'EDM' in the past year MTV chose to celebrate the latest "movement in pop culture" with a new category for 'Best Electronic Dance Music Video'.
It was the scottish DJ who prevailed with 'Feel So Close' beating the likes of Avicii's 'Levels', who many saw as favourite for the award, Duck Sauce's 'Big Bad Wolf', Martin Solveig's 'Night Out' and the U.S's very own Skrillex's 'First Of The Year (Equinox)'.
Calvin had more to celebrate last night as he also shared in the glory of Rihanna's 'We Found Love' which picked up the award for 'Video Of The Year'.
While the VMAs have not yet been aired, Harris was reportedly shown behind the DJ booth already holding the coveted Moonman, having received the award in the pre-show.
