Odd story of the day: the YouTube dubstep violinist sensation Lindsey Stirling has been signed by Lady Gaga's manager, Troy Carter.
You can see her gracefully skipping through the snow whilst expertly playing her classical stringed instrument layered over a dubstep backdrop on her hit YouTube video, 'Crystallize' (below) which has close to 7 million views and was the eighth most viewed video of 2012.
With over 2 million subscribers on YouTube and half as many on Facebook, it is clear that she has stumbled upon a popular hybrid niche and certainly means business.
Lindsey's success has not been limited to the virtual domain either, with a sold-out European tour and over 100,000 copies of her self-released debut album sold.
Easy to see why Troy Carter has snapped up 26 year old Lindsey, then.
Carter explained his decision to sign Lindsey Stirling: "By looking at the numbers, automatically you could see this girl knew how to move the needle and understood YouTube was a venue to engage fans both online and offline."
If you don't happen to be one of the 7 million, check out her performance below.
