It started when DJ Sneak said: “It’s a sad thing when the Swedish House Mafia is being paid big money to come to the US to play house music. For the record, they do not play house music.”
Steve Angelo replied: "If you're trying to tell me something, call me. You have my number. Don't take on Twitter to get a stab. It's stupid of you calling people out like that on Twitter. We always respected you but you show a side thats fucked up.
"You shouldn't be doing shit like this. You should embrace where it's heading and use it for your advantage instead of stabbing."
Sneak didn't back down. "I don't hate you. Just being real about things. At least if you all can accept the truth about yourselves I will drop it. Hating never. Exposing the fake shit you guys portray, indeed. I come from the times real DJs actually did it with love.
"You live in LA. You should try acting. I'll back off."
Dennis Ferrer wrote: "Bruh, can I say I'm loving you right about now! Peeps say we're outspoken, but we speak truths, some people have a hard time with it."
Sneak replied to Ferrer: "I got love for the right people, I do not respect DJ actors".
Felix Da Housecat showed his support for the Swedes, "Stop addressing these fucking haters and keep doing you! Known you guys forever and proud of you guys!
"Couldn't imagine Prince telling MJ or Madonna telling Springsteen or Cyndi Lauper telling Thom Yorke what's cred and not cred..so stupid."
Steve Angello posted a long reply, which can be read in full here. But the basic gist was, "It's easy to throw up on others and and easy to tell people their music suck, and easy to say it was better back then."
