Last week saw the inaugural Electronic Music Conference in Sydney and a whole host of DJs and industry people attended to give their insights and opinions on the current state of the scene.
Following on from our feature on ghostwriting, one of the topics of debate was whether it is acceptable in this age of electronic music production.
Some of the DJs giving their opinions on the hot topic included Diplo, Nina Kraviz and Tommy Trash.
With a booming portfolio of productions under his belt, Diplo thinks that ghostwriting isn't an un-common practice.
He says: "I wrote a record for Chris Brown – he didn’t write any of it, but it’s his record.
"With pop acts, that’s what we do. For DJs, it’s kind of the same thing, a lot of them don’t write their records, but those are their records."
