CALVIN HARRIS LASHES OUT AT BBC ON TWITTER

A furious Calvin Harris has taken to Twitter to express his anger following a recent interview with BBC Radio 1's Newsbeat, claiming he was misquoted during an interview.

The interview was based around whether or not it's acceptable for DJs to 'just press play' during live shows, a topic which has been a hot talking point in dance music over recent months.

This is the response from Harris that was aired on the Newsbeat show: "I think it's not a problem. In the club you want to hear a produced piece of music, you want to hear the bass, you want to hear it as good as it can sound. I used to perform with a band putting all sorts of work into a live show and I can tell you that the reaction was worse than it is when I'm DJ'ing."

However, Harris took to Twitter to complain, claiming that the show used his quote out of context. He said: "Find the audio where I say 'It's OK to prerecord a DJ set'. It doesn't fucking exist, and I don't know ANY DJ that actually does that."

The NME reports that Harris is threatening to take legal action against the BBC.
