One of trance’s hardest working DJs, Armin Van Burren is busy at work coming up with new concepts and projects for 2012.
One of which is to get more women to pursue a career within the dance music industry.
At his forthcoming A State Of Trance 550 tour he has come up with a way of infusing his two projects together, with his last tour date March 31 at Brabanthallen club in Den Bosh being entirely made up of females.
"I’ve decided to dedicate a whole stage to female DJs and artists only. Even the VJ, MC and stage-manager have to be female.", said the Dutch DJ.
He also added that hopes to see a stronger female presence in dance music in the future.
"It would be a great thing if at least 15 percent of the DJ MAG top 100 in 2013 are female!"
