In a deal recently signed with music licensing group Armonia, Google Play will introduce 5.5million new tracks to its European online store.
Covering 35 European countries, new additions to Google Play will include music from Universal's UK and US catalogs. The agreement comes just a week after Google introduced the music-buying facility to its European store, making it a solid competitor with current leaders iTunes and Amazon. Now stocking music, games, films, books and Android Apps, Google Play has also introduced free storage, syncing and song-matching options.
