1. 12th Planet @ Lights All Night Festival @ Fair Park, Dallas, USA

A monstrous three-day dance festival building up to the big night with some of the world’s biggest DJs and dance acts. NYE itself will feature Axwell, Ghostland Observatory, Diplo, Sander van Doorn and Nero just for starters, smashing three climate-controlled stages across Dallas’ Fair Park, with massive production, nutty visuals and no end of clubbing luxuries.

2. Pop NYE present Above & Beyond @ Oracle Arena, San Francisco, USA

Set in the enormous Oracle Arena, home to the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, Pop is unleashing the biggest names in the game for a party to remember. Their unique NYE countdown will tick to a soundtrack from Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Dash Berlin, Andy Moor vs Lange, W&W and many more, as 19,000 ravers dodge the lasers and reach for the stars.

3. Benny Benassi @ Marquee Nightclub, Las Vegas, USA

Set in one of the most incredible clubs in Vegas, complete with 40ft LED DJ booth, a three-story catwalk and a one-of-a-kind radial soundsystem with earthquake-inducing bass potential, Benny Benassi is set to bring the noise thundering into 2013. Definitely worth a gamble!

4. Nicole Moudaber @ Stereo, Montréal, Canada

Modelled on the Paradise Garage in 1998, Stereo’s box-within-a-box design is built to optimise acoustics, incorporating a shock-absorbing dancefloor that reduces any harmful effects of dancing all night. Which is great, because the new queen of tech, Nicole Moudaber, won’t be finishing early!

5. Pacha, New York, USA

Renowned as a true centre of house music in New York, this huge superclub will host the one and only Sander van Doorn with support from Julian Jordan. Overlooking the Hudson River, this will be New Year’s Eve set over four floors of luxury dancefloors, LED visuals and 2600 party people all ready to rumble to one to the world’s biggest names.

6. Jacked @ Pier 94, New York, USA

Set in a 135,000 sq ft warehouse on the Hudson River, this amazing space hosted Avicii for the big night last year. Rammed with state-of-the-art sound and visuals, the legendary Afrojack will be at the helm with loads of special guests including R3HAB, Shermanology, Quintino and Bobby Burns. So, if you’re thinking of going, here’s a little pier pressure to make your mind up!

7. The 6th BPM Festival @ Playa del Carmen, Mexico (from January 4)

For the perfect antidote to all your new year’s hangovers, why not take a little trip to BPM festival in Mexico from January 4–13. Packed with day and night events, BPM parties are hosted on both days in this incredible beach town with Carl Cox, Sasha, Jamie Jones, Eats Everything, Richie Hawtin, Lee Foss and Maceo Plex poised to set the white sand on musical fire. 

8. Crobar, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Without doubt one of the best clubbing nightspots in the Argentinian capital, Crobar presents a very special mega-set from one of the biggest names in the business, John Digweed. Expect the living legend to take their giant dancefloor energy to new levels, and probably explode a disco ball or three.

9. Elrow @ Row 14, Barcelona, Spain (New Year’s Day)

Still going strong? Then blag a ride on Richie Hawtin’s private jet and spend New Year’s Day raving it with the best in the business at one of Spain’s most incredible clubs. Hawtin spent last NYD here, crowd-surfing on an inflatable canoe. He’ll be supported by Dubfire, Joris Voorn, Paco Osuna and Joseph Capriati, plus with Elrow’s passion for parties, expect another day packed full of insane decoration and special performances.

10. Harry Klein, Munich, Germany

If you’re looking for something a bit deeper on the biggest clubbing night of the year, make a house and techno pilgrimage to Munich’s famous Harry Klein club. Sweaty, intimate and very, very loud, the soundtrack will be supplied by DJ Boris, Kid.Chic and Maxim Terentjev on one single mission: to make you feel the music and dance.

11. New Year Countdown @ Womb, Tokyo, Japan

Tokyo’s premiere nightspot, Womb has long set the standard for futuristic clubbing. So what better place to welcome the rising sun of 2013, immersed amongst stunning light shows, a Steve Dash soundsystem and incredible sets from Ellen Allien, Apparat and Womb’s wonderful residents.

12. Electric East @ Dada Bar, Shanghai, China

Covering all bases from d’n’b to hip hop, “it’s all about energy,” says promoter Michael Ohlsson of Shanghai’s legendary Dada Bar. Free all night, this is a party where you let loose and allow the Electric East label’s DJs, featuring Lady Citizen, Conrank and 2x China DMC champ HBD, to take care of the serious bit.

13. Field Day @ The Domain, Sydney, Australia (New Year's Day)

Field Day 2013 is all set to play host to the best dance artists from around the globe as 25,000 Sydney-siders come together in celebration for an incredible day of music and sunshine in Sydney’s picturesque tree-filled Domain. With TEED, SBTRKT, Hot Chip, Scuba, Disclosure and Booka Shade already on the poster, this will be a party like no other.

14. Marquee, Sydney, Australia

Arguably the biggest DJ to come out of Australia, Dirty South will be taking over the plush podiums of Marquee, set above the huge casino in the city centre. Admission isn’t cheap ($150) but that includes a sponsored bar from 9–11pm plus Champagne at midnight. There are also dining packages which include entrance to the club and either canapés ($230) or a sit down meal ($285) at Soyko in Darling Hotel before it all kicks off.

15. Mixmag presents NYE @ Avalon, Los Angeles, USA

Another of Mixmag’s home from homes, Avalon is a 3,000 capacity superclub tucked just round the corner from Hollywood Boulevard. Mixmag normally joins forces with their big Friday nighters known as the caps-lock friendly, CONTROL. For NYE we have Markus Schulz playing live.

16. NYE Weekend @ Surrender, Encore, Las Vegas, USA

The second of our Las Vegas NYE events, Surrender at Encore is putting on a four day bonanza for all of you EDM fans. Kicking off on December 28th and continuing until January 1st, the decadent super club will play host to Steve Aoki, Calvin Harris, Skrillex and Eric Prydz. The 45,000 square foot venue should cater for all of your dancing needs and it seems like the perfect place to see the dawn of 2013 in style.
