About Me

Mixmag Club Editor: After leaving school and floating aimlessly through a number of crappy jobs including chopping vegetables and putting up satellite dishes, in 2001 it was time to re-evaluate my life. English and writing had always been my strong points at school so after studying for two years in Glasgow and another two in London I graduated with a first class honours degree in New Media Journalism in the summer of 2005.

In January 2005 i did a week's work experience at Mixmag and was invited back for another week, which I was paid for. After freelancing for Mixmag for the next eight months I was offered the full time position of editorial assistant and staff writer. More recently I have taken over the position as Clubs Editor and co-write the electro reviews page. I am also confident that I make the best cup of tea in the Mixmag office, which is no mean feat.

Being a music geek I spend a lot of my spare time producing house and techno music and DJing. I’m also a resident DJ for BUMP so come and check out how we roll. Other general interests and likes of mine are football (come on the Gers!), documentaries, cricket, salt and vinegar crisps, dogs (of the canine variety) and vodka. Dislikes include mushrooms, those talent/dancing/skating TV shows and violence.

Favourite Clubs

Fabric (London), Panorama Bar (Berlin) and of course Bump.

Favourite Tunes

Kate Bush ‘Cloudbusting’, Deacon Blue ‘Raintown’, Ultravox ‘Vienna’
