Easy to operate for seasoned music makers and amateurs, the Kaossilator 2 does most of the work so you don't have to. After choosing a key, making a perfect-sounding melody is simple as choosing an instrument from the impressive sized bank and then selecting notes on the built-in touchpad.
Loops can also be saved, and after the addition of several layers and the Kaosillator 2's generous range of built in effects, it's possible to create an interesting sounding riff or tune at any bpm.
Listening to your creations can be done through the built-in speaker or headphones whilst importing melodies to a Digital Audio Workstation is as easy as saving your performance to an SD card, and downloading it to your computer.
Offering a fun, easy way to create melodies on the go, the plug-and-play ability of the Kaossilator 2 makes it an interesting gadget to to generate new ideas and sounds - though it's probably best used for inspiration rather than finished product.
