Native Instruments has just released the Traktor DJ app, which is strikingly dissimilar to their successful computer DJ software.
Although one would think that this app will be used strictly by bedroom DJs and the like, the app can also be integrated into a normal DJ set up.
Heavy hitters Dubfire and Richie Hawtin have championed Traktor for quite some time. In addition to integration, DJ's can also use the new app to test mixes and develop loops and cue points on its own.
Most interestingly though is the formatting of the app, which lacks actual decks and uses waveforms instead. What's more, the ever-popular 'sync' feature is also available on the app, but the user has the option to turn it off.
