Amsterdam ravers rejoice! The mayor of the city, Eberhard van de Laan, has just given three clubs a 24-hour license.

De Telegraaf reports that Radion and Cruquiusgilde get the go-ahed to open all day and all night, as well as a new venue in the west of the city said to be opened by the people behind Trouw.

Trouw was an Amsterdam institution beloved of locals and tourists alike and its closure in the New Year left a hole in the city's clubbing landscape (as well as its revellers' hearts). But this morning's local news stories suggest that Trouw organisers are opening a club in Doctor Jan van Breemen street, on the site of the former Each Land College (pictured above).

This information is credited to "insiders" close to Trouw and will come as good news to anyone who ever partied there. We've also heard industry rumblings that it would "re-open" at a different location, so here's hoping.

Mayor van de Laan has increased the amount of clubs with a 24-hour license in Amsterdam to further boost the city's famous nightlife culture.

More news when we have it.
