Technics unveils new SL-1200G specs

After the first run of special edition Technics SL-1200GAE turntables sold out in half an hour earlier this month, the Japanese company has revealed the standard edition SL-1200G decks will receive a full release in autumn this year.

The full specs for the standard edition have now also been confirmed, with many of the features of the limited edition being carried over, including the micro-processor controlled sensors that reduce vibrations and the same lightweight magnesium tonearm, which Panasonic has initially stated would be aluminium.

As a result, the model doesn’t come cheap, with the recommended retail price set at £2,799. Read Technics’ explanation of the cost here.
