Superfreq takeover with Mr. C and Xo Chic in the Lab LA

The Lab LA is our weekly post work party where we bring you the best American and international DJs live from the heart of Hollywood. This Friday we've got certified boss Mr. C and Xo Chic jumping on the decks for a Superfreq takeover.

It'd be a tall order to rattle off all of Mr. C's accomplishments in a single paragraph, but we'll take a punt. The London-born Richard West has been an influential house and techno producer since the mid-80s, and was shot into the British public eye as a member of crossover rave group The Shamen. Throughout the 90s and 00s West founded a trio of seminal labels Plink Plonk, End Recordings and Superfreq, was joint owner of the much-lauded West End nightclub The End, and has been a formidable force on the development of underground dance music for almost thirty years.

Joining Mr. C in the Lab is Superfreq resident and one half of Dollz At Play, Xo Chic. Known locally for her electro disco stylings at the SuperDisco Freq parties in Silverlake, she's also been spinning some tight acid house and techno for a minute and we're really looking forward to hearing what her and the Superfreq label don come out with on Friday.

The Lab LA as always is powered by Void Acoustics. You can catch the Superfreq sets below or via Mixmag TV.
