SoundCloud introduces personalized 'Suggested Tracks'

The new algorithm replaces 'Recommended Tracks'

After receiving a hefty $70 million investment from Twitter, SoundCloud has been rolling out new and improved features in effort to pull ahead against its aggressive competitors in the streaming space.

SoundCloud has introduced "Suggested Tracks", a new algorithm that aggregates listening history, likes and data from each user to compile a personalized playlist. As you continue to navigate and use SoundCloud, the playlist will update as it learns more about your musical preferences.

Previously, SoundCloud solely provided "Recommended Tracks" to listeners, which was an algorithm that simply detected tracks that were similar to one another rather than personalized choices for the user.

Users can find their Suggested Tracks in the Discover tab of SoundCloud.
