A petition's been launched to save Glasgow club The Arches.

Bad news arrived on Friday as a licensing board came to the decision to strip its 3am license due to reported drug and alcohol-related offences there in the last few months. Therefore, the venue can only open until midnight from now on.

Obviously a massive blow to the city's nightlife, a petition to save the club is doing the rounds with the likes of Jackmaster, Erol Alkan, Hudson Mohawke and Skream backing it.

There were also reports of East London venue Rhythm Factory soon closing at the weekend, which means it'll join Plastic People as another club in the capital to shut up shop this year.

Over 25,000 people have signed the petition to save The Arches and you can add to that here.
