Noel Gallagher has reaffirmed his love of dance music in a recent interview – and singled out Defected as one of his favourite labels.

The former Oasis main man revealed to The Quietus: "I'm fucking obsessed with dance music at the moment. It's in the middle of a renaissance. That firm Defected, that do those 'Defected In The House' mixes, they're fucking amazing. I went to Ibiza last year and had an amazing time."

When asked whether he liked to dance in clubs, he added: "I walk about rhythmically and try to avoid eye contact with people with feather cuts and [Manchester] City scarves in case I ruin their lives. I find a dark corner, usually with a few people who might form a barrier. A human shield!"

This isn't the first time Noel has professed his love for the dancefloor and he famously added the vocal on The Chemical Brothers hit 'Setting Sun'. Are we to expect funky house remixes on the next High Flying Birds album?

For the label fans, 'Defected in Miami' is out now on iTunes.
