Club culture icon Goldie has been announced as the host for the inaugural Electronic Music Awards and Foundation, which will be aired on FOX on April 23.

It's a damn good week to be Goldie. Two days ago the drum 'n' bass pioneer was honored as an MBE by the Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace to celebrate his lifetime achievements.

Now, the Metalheadz mogul is set to make history in a different way as the host of the first ever nationally televised award show dedicated to electronic music.

Earlier this month, the EMAF categories and nominees were announced for Paul Oakenfold's milestone ceremony. In the running are talents like Diplo, Jamie xx, Bob Moses, Dixon, Carl Craig, Disclosure and more.

Surely a giant step for the dance music scene, the Electronic Music Awards and Foundation aims to bring electronic music culture to the mainstream in a novel way.
