Ever since they burst into action, ClekClekBoom have been at the forefront of the French underground music scene. With weird bass, glitchy tech and mechanical grooves, CCB is easily one of the most interesting labels around.

Artists like Coni, Bambounou, Aleqs Notal, NSDOS and The Boo have all released seriously good EPs via the imprint but perhaps the highest profile member on the roster is French Fries.

The Frenchman released his debut album 'Keplar' last year on the label and although he's not released much in 2015, he's turned in something special for the winter months.

The 20th release on ClekClekBoom is the split 'Working on a Dream'/'Shades of Light' EP and it's more cosmic output from him. 'Shades of Light' is classic French Fries with synths that float and meander, percussion that stabs erratically and vocal cuts that zip in and out of focus.

The wildly robotic track gets its first play here and it should be at the top of your Christmas list.

The 'Working on a Dream'/'Shades of Light' EP is out on vinyl today and digitally on December 11
