Experience Red Bull Music Academy’s ‘Shattered Streams’

A new immersive digital experience

Red Bull Music Academy has unveiled a new immersive online project called ‘Shattered Streams’.

Inspired by William Basinski’s ‘Disintegration Loops’, Red Bull has elected to gather 31 artists from around the world and stream a loop new original material from them throughout the month of May. ‘Shattered Streams’ explores the “degradation of both audio and visuals to create an immersive yet ultimately finite listening experience”. The platform allows users to change the “lengths of degradation” from five minutes to 24 hours as animated visuals accompany the work.
